Perfect Pearls are cool

One of the things that I really enjoy is learning a new technique and also learning about all the cool craft products that are out in the market.  I ordered a variety of Perfect Pearls pigment powders and tested it with TSOL Bicycle2stamp set.  I used Versamark ink and stamped the tiny bicycles (one at a time) onto black card stock paper.  After each stamping, I brushed a small amount of the powder onto the stamped image and lightly brushed the excess off.  Once I was all done with creating my designed paper, I lightly misted water into the air and waved my stamped card stock through it.  This set the perfect pearls.  Let me tell you, I thought the results were stunning!  I really like this product!

Stretch your Dies Class

I'm so excited!  This is the first online card class that I've every taken.  I love to follow both Kristina Werner and Jennifer McGuire on YouTube.  These are my first cards that I've created from the inspiration I've gotten from the class.  I used March's club set stamps and dies from Stephanie Barnards, the Stamps of Life.  With a combination of techniques that I picked up from the Stretch Your Dies class and the wonderful stamps that Stephanie has, I am so pleased with the results!  #thestampsoflife, #bicycle2stamp.

Making bows for Card Making

Ok so I love love love recieving new stuff from TSOL card club kit.  January's kit came with some really cute black and red bows.  They are soooo cute! The kit also came with 3 yds of green ribbon and yellow and white twine.
So I attempted to create my own using the green ribbon and yellow twine.  My first step was to do a 1 & 3/4 fold about 1 inch in length.
Next step is to Pinch the center creating a V.
Then from both edges of the center of the pinched portion, fold edges over.  It helps to use a craft tweezer.
Then take the twine and create a knot on the backside of the bow.

Then wind the twine a few times around the center of the bow and tie a double knot.

Voila!  You have created a cute small bow!  Thank you Stephanie for the awesome items in January's card kit club!

Valentine Cards

My focus on these new cards that I created was to use the Stamps of Life (AKA...TSOL) January 2015 card kit in the theme of "Happy".  I used one of the designer papers and embellished it a bit with the stamps from the kit (I also used other sets of TSOL stamps) and embossing powder while keeping the theme of Valentines in mind.  So I ended up with a cute background with arrows saying "Sweetheart, I have a crush on you" and another red background that has "love this".  After that, all the card stocks from previous kits were fair game (pink, black, white, and red were my choices).  BTW, Stephanies cardstocks are awesome!  I don't have any foil-type paper but I do have a pretty good collection of shimmery ribbons from the holidays and decided to test it to see how well it would look on cards these cards.  I'm sooo happy to find that they work awesome!  I ran it through my mini Xyron sticker makers and now have a new thing to add to my card making embellishments.  Love it!  I ended up making 5 cards altogether that morning.  All the stamps used in these cards are from Stephanie Barnard's TSOL collection.

Love card

This will be my very first post!  I love crafting cards and making cute things.  This card was created using Stephanie Barnard's stamps and dies and Tim Holtz's distress inks.
